ADA ASSISTANCE
Beer City Comic Con is welcoming to individuals of all abilities and is a fully accessible event. We are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure full access and we encourage all feedback and suggestions in order to improve your experience.
The following explains all accommodations provided this year. For any accessibility-related questions, please email us at info@beercitycomiccon.com. We will do our very best to help you have an epic experience.
ADA Entrances
All entrances to Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, NC are ADA entrances and will be available all day. Those who have an ADA sticker will be able to use any entrance into the show during show hours, as well as prior to show opening if we are staging any queues inside for the Show Floor or panels.
We provide priority seating for fans with disabilities as available. All seating for panels and screenings is on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee seating for everyone.
Guests with disabilities should plan to arrive at a panel at least 30 minutes prior to the event so that we can best accommodate you. Keep in mind that all of our events are very popular, and we will make every effort to help you access the panels that are important to you.
We provide expedited line access for all autographs and photo ops that are not wristbanded or lottery giveaways. Please be advised that our guests often sign for limited amounts of time, so we ask you to arrive closer to the beginning of our signing time. When our guest reaches capacity, we will close the line.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted throughout the venue; however, this DOES NOT include:
- Emotional support animals
- Therapy animals
- Companion animals
Pets are not allowed and will be turned away. Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be allowed into the event and provided with the appropriate credentials.
All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
Service animals must be housebroken and should use appropriate relief areas outside of the venue.
Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.
All animals should have legally required vaccinations.
Wheelchair Accessibility
Harrah’s Cherokee Center has sidewalk ramps, restrooms and elevators accessible for persons with mobility disabilities.
There is no on-site parking at Harrah’s Cherokee Center. However, there are many parking garages in the vicinity. The average price for event day parking usually starts at around $9 a day and is subject to change depending on the Center’s activity. See parking garages and directions on how to get to the Center by car or truck.
Sensory Warning
Strobing lights, amplified sounds, and large crowds are quite common at our event. Please be aware of your surroundings and consider taking “stimulation breaks” as needed. However, if you leave during a seated panel or session, we cannot guarantee your seat will be held until you return.
Effective Communication Requests
If you would like to request ASL Interpretation for any performance, please contact us at info@beercitycomiccon. Keep in mind, requests must be made no later than three weeks before the event to allow for sufficient processing time.
Requests for Closed Captioning, Braille/Large Font Print, Guided Tours and/or other forms of Effective Communication, should also be directed to info@beercitycomiccon.com.
The deadline to request ASL Interpretation and/or other forms of effective communication will be posted closer to the show.

Comments, Questions, Suggestions
